Clara Bow (release date unknown)
Information for this film is very limited, but I can tell you that it is a biography based on the life of 20's sex symbol Clara Bow, who's life eventually ended up in tatters. Rose was chosen by Clara's own son for the part, after years of turning down offered actresses. ___________________________ Vacuums (2002)
Vacuums is the result of "Stomp" creators Luke Creswell and Steve McNicholas. The film is about two rival English twins who set up rival Vacuum cleaner companies across the road from each other. Rose dyed her hair red for this role, and plays a worker in one of the factories. The film is also rumoured to contain lots of singing and dancing. ___________________________ Rat in the Can (2001) Rose teams up with Kip in this independent film about an aging child star who thinks that clinging to a lucky guy, will win him the girl of his dreams, played by Rose. Once again information on this film is limited. ___________________________ The Killing Yard (2001)
Based on the 1970 Atikka prison riots, The Killing Yard (due to be released September 23 on the Showtime channel) tells the story of a black prisoner who is accused of murdering two of his inmates. Rose plays a detective working on the case. __________________________ Monkeybone (2001)
The creator of a cartoon is about to hit the jackpot when a freak accident lands him in a coma, where a bizarre dreamscape has formed. Along the way he meets many strange creatures, one of which is Rose as Kitty. ___________________________ The Last Stop (2000)
An eclectic group of people are stranded at a remote cafe, during a violent storm blizzard. One of them, a cop, discovers a bag full of cash from a recent bank robbery and hysteria and paranoia run high from there. ___________________________ Ready to Rumble (2000)
Rose starred unwillingly as a Nitro Girl in this bogus comedy about to WCW wrestling fans who try to help their favourite wrestler back to the top after he is cruelly exited from the sport. Rose hated this film, and was forced to star in it by her manager. ___________________________ Kiss and Tell (1999)
A young woman is found dead on a doorstep with a carott stuck in her bum. This is comedic whodunnit film, in which Rose plays a trashy alcoholic suspect of the murder. ___________________________ Jawbreaker (1999)
A nomination for Best Villain at the 1999 MTV Awards were the result of Rose's performance in this dark teen comedy about a group of girls who accidentally kill their best friend (who is also the teen dream) when they pull off a birthday prank. ___________________________ Sleeping Beauties (1998)
A very rare short film in which Rose played a dead, lesbian, rock star. Very few people have watched this movie, so that's the reason why there isn't much info about it on the net. ___________________________ Devil in the Flesh (1998)
After burning her parents in their house, Debby (Rose) is adopted by her grandma, and forced to adapt to a tough lifestyle. But everything goes awry when she falls in love with her english teacher, and stops at nothing to get him. ___________________________ Southie (1998)
When a young man returns to his hometown, he is shocked to find everyone close to him in some sort of trouble. Rose McGowan turns in on of her most dramatic performances as his ex-girlfriend who rages out of control due to becoming an alcoholic. ___________________________ Phantoms (1998)
When Rose and her sister visit a small, secluded town, they are horrified to realise that all the townsfolk are missing, and the few mutilated bodies lying about tell them that they didn't all go on vacation. ___________________________ Seed (1997)
Rose's first performance in a short film, this time as a prostitute who meets a client who asks her personal questions, and makes her realise that her life is worth more than she thinks it is. ___________________________ Lewis & Clarke & George (1997)
Rose shines in her role as a deadly femme fatale, who picks up a couple of escaped convicts, and together go in search of a fabled gold mine. Many twists and turns, as well as hilarious happenings follow. ___________________________ Going All the Way (1997)
Rose heats up the screen in this coming-of-age drama/comedy about a young man who returns from the war and meets an old school mate. They become best friends, and together share the best and worst of girl troubles, car accidents, and leaving home. ___________________________ Nowhere (1997)
A kinetic, and twisted look at a group of teens searching for true love. This film was filmed the same year as The Doom Generation, which is probably why Rose's role isn't bigger. She has a small cameo as a Val Chick. ___________________________ Scream (1996)
Fame hit after Rose's appearance as Tatum O'Reilly in Scream. The film turned out to be a huge success, winning acclaim from almost all critics and turning it's hip young cast into mega stars. ___________________________ Bio-Dome (1996)
Fortunate for Rose, her role in this pathetic gross-out comedy was only very minor. I am positive that if she was in the lead role, her career would have taken a very different road then what it has now. |
